We build the security tool we wished we'd had.
FPSEC is a small security team with product builders alongside. We started the company because the gap between “we should run a security audit” and “we have the answer” was still measured in weeks. AppCheck closes that gap — scanner first, security team review second, certificate in your inbox the same week.
Five ideas behind everything we ship.
They aren't slogans — they're the criteria we use to decide what to build next.
Speed changes behaviour
Security tools that take weeks get used once a year. We deliver in days so you can re-run audits as often as you ship.
A team that knows your stack
Our security team reviews your app end-to-end, supported by AI-native automation — but with a human verifying every finding and writing the report in plain language.
Plain language, real numbers
A score and a certificate beat a 90-page PDF every time. We translate findings into language that engineers, executives, and customers all understand.
Assume you're already exposed
We design every check from the perspective of an attacker on the public internet — and a human asks the awkward follow-up questions a scanner can't.
Secure the boring stuff
Most breaches start with a missing header, an expired certificate, or an exposed admin panel. AppCheck closes the door on the basics, and flags the interesting edge cases for follow-up.
From script to product.
The short version of how AppCheck got here.
- 2023
Founded
FPSEC is founded by a security team from B2B SaaS, fintech, and infrastructure groups who wanted a faster way to validate external posture.
- 2024
AppCheck v1
First version of AppCheck ships with seven coverage areas and a basic certificate. Early adopters include three YC-backed SaaS companies.
- 2026
Today
AppCheck now covers ten areas across 120+ checks, including optional source-code review when teams share a read-only repo.
